Wild Arizona - KAET- (PBS)

Kartchner Caverns

 

 

Phoenix's PBS affiliate, KAET, approached me about being the lead composer on a new series, Wild Arizona. Here is one of my favorite segments. It's about Kartchner Cavern, one of the largest untouched underground caverns in the world. Now managed by the state of Arizona. This film's broadcast was the new state park's "coming out" party.

 

TV has pretty quick turn around times. I endeavored to create a score that represented the vast calmness of the space, using a light orchestra, trumpet and guitar harmonics.
